People who make their living from music make it with Ovation. Artists like Nancy Wilson, Roy Clark, Tony Rice and Larry Coryell. On tour, the roundback is tough and consistently playable. And it sounds great (if it didn’t, they wouldn’t play it). Choose from nylon, 6 and 12-string models. With or without Ovation’s famous acoustic-electric pickup. Whatever your music, make it with Ovation.
Traditional craftsmanship matched with space-age technology created the superior sound of the Ovation Roundback. That same synthesis contributes to the uncanny performance of its electric pickup and on-board active electronics system. We position six piezoelectronic pickups at the anchor points of the strings to the Delrin saddle, the precise point at which string and guitar are working to produce the sound…

My name’s on these guitars! My name’s on them because they’re the same 6-string and 12-string Ovation Roundbacks I play on the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour. Not just the same brand, but duplicates of the guitars Ovation customized for me. I think you’ll like them for the same reasons I do. Full, honest sound. Better projection. Faster response. And the pleasure in playing a beautiful instrument. These are the finest guitars I’ve ever played, and they’re mighty satisfying. Ask Ovation to tell you more.

When you’re as hot as Coryell, there is only one guitar, Adamas.
Coryell. The musician’s musician. Adamas. The guitarist’s guitar. That’s why jazz great Larry Coryell chose Adamas. The carbon graphite soundboard – stronger, lighter, thinner than Spruce – gives Adamas 3db response over its entire range. The twenty-two soundholes, ideally positioned and combined with the Lyrachord Bowl, get maximum frequencies up and out of the body. Listeners on both sides of the guitar hear more sound than ever before. The unique Kaman Bar reinforced neck assures a straight playing surface, perfect for fast lead solos. Adamas transforms the heat of Coryell’s inspiration into music. Get hot. Get inspired. Get Adamas. The musician’s guitar. A Kaman Music Product.
Imagine the possibilities of stereo. A mono/stereo jack lets you plug the Preacher into two amplifiers or into both channels of a single amp. The stereo jack splits pickup output. That means you can set the fingerboard pickup with a warm, throaty tone in channel one. In the other channel, you can set the bridge pickup with a strong, dirty lead tone. The Preacher has other refinements as well: unique double coil pickups that are 20db quieter than most humbucking pickups, a full two-octave neck that is glued and bolted for added sustain, individually adjustable brass saddles for perfect intonation, jumbo frets for smoother action and easier string bending. The Preacher. It’s the first solid body electric guitar to make stereo a reality.
It takes a very special sequence of natural events for a maple tree to produce the birdseye figuring that graces the top of the 1990 Collectors’ Series. Equally unique are the steps our people take in crafting a totally collectable guitar. From the selection of the tree to the limited number of guitars which it will produce… There has never been a guitar like it from Ovation! It sounds as good as it looks.
